About
With an IPG Property Management Franchise, the franchisee manages the property management contracts (properties) that belong soley to them.
Duties
Being a property manager is a 24/7 job. As a property manager, it is the franchisee's job to adequatley maintain each short-term vacation home in their portfolio, schedule cleans after each guest departure, build and maintain relationships with each property owner, and attend to any issue guests may have during their stay.
Property managers must ensure that each property is well-maintained. and in the best possible condition for the guests. This includes ensuring the property is clean and tidy, there are enough supplies (towels, plates, etc.), and the house is ready to receive guests.
It is also very important to build a working relationship with each homeowner. They need to be able to trust the franchisee to look after their investment and so good communication is needed. For example, if there is a major repair needed, it is important to get the approval of the homeowner before going ahead with the repair.
Since the franchisee is managing a short-term vacation rental property, the franchisee is sure to be tending to guest requests and complaints. Any issues that arise during a guest's stay must be addressed in a timley manner to ensure complete guest satisfaction. This may include things like coordinating with an A/C repair company if the A/C stops working, contacting the Internet service provide if the Internet stops working, delivering more towels, turning pool heat on and off, and more.
